Every student receives a chamber music assignment on Monday morning, has a minimum of three coached rehearsal sessions as well as rehearsals without a coach, and performs that piece on the following Saturday. In any given summer over 60 movements of major works will be learned and performed for the entire community. Here is a sample of week 1 2017 concert.

The orchestra works all summer on a complete program to be performed in the Final Concerts, with individual movements played on Saturday nights. The chorus learns one or two short pieces for each Saturday concert, and prepares a major work for the final concert.

Every student has a private lesson every week, and can always seek out extra help from the faculty.

There are many possible forms of recreation at Greenwood. There are two clay tennis courts, a pool, ping-pong tables, miles of dirt roads and trails for biking and hiking, and a field for the soccer, softball or frisbee games that often fill a beautiful summer evening. We also  enjoy a camp-wide treasure hunt, charades and Capture-the-Flag games every summer.
