“[The Chiara String Quartet] is not a chamber ensemble that simply takes their place on stage (with all the pomp and dignity usually associated with performers at this level) and plays a piece of music. This is an ensemble that performs. Music comes alive and vibrates across the stage from one performer to another, one instrument to the next …”

Chiara String Quartet: Becca Fisher (SC 9091) & Julie Yoon, violins; Jonah Sirota (SC 9093), viola; Greg Beaver, cello

Praised for a “marvelously dramatic” approach (Philadelphia Inquirer) paired with a “warm, integrated sound” (New York Times), the Chiara String Quartet is known as four unique and strong voices that combine into a powerful whole. The Chiara String Quartet's busy concert schedule has taken them to Alice Tully Hall, Weill Recital Hall, the American Academy in Rome, Philadelphia's Kimmel Center, and Harris Hall in Aspen, Colorado, among other important concert venues. Currently artists-in-residence at the University of Nebraska, the Chiara String Quartet trained with the Juilliard String Quartet at The Juilliard School, tours regularly, and began an annual association with Greenwood in 2006.

Tax-deductible donations of $25, $50, $100, or more, are encouraged to benefit Greenwood's Annual Fund, which provides crucial scholarship assistance and operating support every year. Contact Amy Nee, Director of Development for more information: development@greenwoodmusiccamp.org or (413) 323-1053
