“We felt the students' enthusiasm for good music of every kind even in the energy at dinner before the concert … The strongest memory of that evening lies in the silences we felt between movements. The way the students were listening was overwhelming, the intensity of their quietness almost terrifying. As a camper I remember the way each performance at Greenwood changed my life, whether it was a concert of peers or an outside group … The spirit of Greenwood inspired us that night to play with a renewed inventiveness …”

Congratulations to Greenwood!
Greenwood was recently awarded a “Citation of Excellence” by Chamber Music America for its contribution to the work of chamber music education. The award was given “for fostering the musical growth of young chamber musicians for 70 years”. Senior Camp Director Deborah Sherr was present to accept the award on Greenwood's behalf.

Welcome to Greenwood…
Greenwood Music Camp is a summer camp for classical musicians. The camp offers a life which combines the profound sharing and communication of the chamber music experience with a supportive family-like daily life.
- Senior session (5 weeks, ages 13–18)
- Junior session (2 weeks, ages 10–13)
The camp maintains a balance of string, woodwind and piano players. All students participate in chamber music, orchestra and chorus, and are challenged and encouraged to work hard to discover the great reward of intensive, well-focused learning.
Generations of Greenwooders have agreed that the extraordinarily high level of music making, combined with the warm, non-competitive atmosphere which Greenwood promotes, is unique.
