Apply to Junior Camp

Applications for Junior Camp 2027 will open on November 1, 2026 and close on February 1, 2027.

We offer live auditions in New York City, Boston, and Western Massachusetts, with select Zoom auditions available for those unable to travel.

After submitting your application, the Admissions Coordinator will contact you when the audition process begins.

Audition information

• Audition eligibility: junior campers must be ages 10-13 during camp. If a 13 year old applicant turns 14 after August 8th, they are still eligible to audition for junior camp.

• If the application deadline has passed, please be in touch with us to see if there are still audition openings for your instrument.

• Violin, viola, cello, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and horn applicants will be asked to play 4-5 minutes of music that demonstrates their musical range and abilities. The music may be from multiple pieces or from the same piece. Applicants for these instruments will also be asked to sight read at the audition.

• Piano applicants will be asked to play two contrasting pieces of music (at least 5-6 minutes total) that demonstrates their musical range and abilities. There is no sight reading for pianists.

• If an applicant would like to audition on multiple instruments, they may request one longer audition time for all instruments, or a separate audition time for each instrument. 

• There are no scales required for the audition.

• Collaborative pianists are not required for the audition, but it is permitted to play with a collaborative pianist if you wish to.
