Apply to Senior Camp

Applications for Senior Camp 2027 will open on November 1, 2026 and close on February 1, 2027

We offer live auditions in New York City, Boston, and Western Massachusetts, with select Zoom auditions available for those unable to travel.

After submitting your application, the Admissions Coordinator will contact you with next steps.

Audition information

• We are accepting applicants for the following instruments: violin, viola, cello, piano, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and horn.

• Applicants are eligible to apply for senior camp if they are 14+ or turning 14 before the end of camp on August 8th. In addition, 13 year olds who will have finished 8th grade by the start of camp are also eligible to audition for senior camp..

• If the application deadline has passed, please be in touch with us to see if there are still audition openings for your instrument.

• During the audition, applicants will be asked to play two selections of music (at least 6-10 minutes total) that demonstrate their musical range and abilities. The music may be from multiple pieces or from the same piece, as long as the selections show contrast in character and tempo. 

• Applicants for violin, viola, cello, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and horn will be asked to sight read at the audition.

• Pianists will be given an excerpt to prepare 24 hours before the audition.

• Each audition is generally ten minutes in length. 

• If an applicant would like to audition on multiple instruments, they may request one longer audition time for all instruments, or a separate audition time for each instrument. 

• There are no scales required for the audition.

• Collaborative pianists are not required for the audition, but it is permitted to play with a collaborative pianist if you wish to.
