Apply to Senior Camp

Applications are open and due by February 1st! Scroll down for application form.

We offer live auditions in New York City, Boston, and Western Massachusetts, with select Zoom auditions available for those unable to travel. If none of these options suit your family’s needs, please contact Jonathan Maginnis, Admissions Coordinator. Audition dates and times are available below.

After submitting your application, the Admission Coordinator will contact you when the audition process begins.

Audition information

  • We are accepting applicants for the following instruments: violin, viola, cello, piano, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and horn.

  • Audition eligibility: senior campers must be 14 or turning 14 before the end of camp on August 9th. 13 year olds will be eligible to audition only if they have finished 8th grade by the start of camp.

  • If the application deadline has passed, please be in touch with us to see if there are still audition openings for your instrument.

  • During the audition, applicants will be asked to play two selections of music (at least 6-10 minutes total) that demonstrate their musical range and abilities. The music may be from multiple pieces or from the same piece, as long as the selections show contrast in character and tempo.

  • Applicants will also be asked to sight read at the audition. Pianists will be given an excerpt to prepare 24 hours before the audition.

  • Each audition is generally ten minutes in length.

  • If the applicant would like to audition on multiple instruments, they may request one longer audition time for all instruments or a separate audition time for each instrument.

Dates and Locations for Live Auditions
